This Green Juice Recipe for beginners is the first recipe in my brand-new Juice With Me series! You guys know I love a good blog series and my Healthy Snacks series was such a hit last year that I felt that it was only right that I start a new series.

We have a ton of yummy recipes in our arsenal but this green juice recipe is truly the pillar of all of our juices. It was the first juice that we actually ‘mastered’ and it’s the one that we enjoy most frequently.

Although I can’t wait to share all of my other yummy juice recipes with you guys, I definitely recommend starting with this classic green juice recipe as you begin incorporating juicing into your lifestyle.

Before you jump into juicing, you want to be sure that you have a high-quality, cold press juicer. I know there are ways that you can make green juice in the blender, but I personally don’t recommend it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for smoothies and such, but I don’t believe you can get the same quality in a blender.

Why Green Juice?

My hubby and I got into juicing a few years ago and have been obsessed with juicing ever since. If you know me personally then you know that I’m a very picky eater so juicing is my way to get in all the nutrients that I’m not getting on a regular basis.

This green juice recipe is one of the most nutrient-dense juice recipes that we’ve made since starting our juice journey and every time I drink it I feel 10x better. Not to mention, it pretty much replaces coffee for me if I have it in the morning.

One of my favorite things about this green juice recipe is full of nutrients that I’m pretty sure I’m not getting on a regular basis. Quality vitamins and nutrients like iron, protein, vitamin A, calcium, potassium, Vitamin C, folate, magnesium, Vitamin K, and more!

I’ll be honest and tell you that while I drink green juice for health, I am BIG on flavor. So when we created our green juice recipe we needed the juice to actually be palatable so that we could enjoy it while enjoying all of the benefits.

This green juice recipe isn’t only green but each of the ingredients is green as well making it the perfect recipe for beginners. The fruits and vegetables in this recipe are spinach, cucumber, celery, lime, and green apples.

That’s right, only 5 ingredients!

You guys know I love a good 5 ingredient or fewer recipe and my juice recipes are no different. Besides, juicing is one of those things that you have to prepare in advance for – especially when you’re just getting started.

Speaking of preparation, before you put these fruits and veggies in your juicer you have to prepare them. It’s best to cut everything into smaller pieces before adding it to your juicer so that you don’t overwhelm the motor inside of your juicer. You also want to remove the peel of the lime and cucumber before you add it into your juicer.

Once your fruit and veggies are prepped, you’re ready to juice! You can enjoy your juice right away or you can store it to enjoy later. Regarding storage, I highly recommend storing it in a glass jar such as a mason jar or any other glass bottle.

Juice Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

This Green Juice Recipe is perfect for beginners and is packed with spinach, celery, cucumber and more green goodness!

Ingredients

  • 2 Green Apples
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 2 Limes
  • 6 Half Stalks of Celery (or 3 ribs)
  • 4 Handfuls Of Spinach

Instructions

  1. Wash your fruit and place in a clean bowl.
  2. Peel your lime and cut into quarters.
  3. Peel your cucumber and cut vertically into quarters (depending on the size of the opening of your juicer).
  4. Using an apple corer, slice your apple.
  5. Remove the root from celery (if applicable).
  6. Place all of your fruits and veggies in your juicer and juice.
  7. Enjoy right away or store in glass container for up to 3 days.
