I’ve ordered brisket online before from other websites and ordering through Snake River Farms was extremely easy to order from.

Snake River Farms allows the user to select the grade of brisket they want, how many briskets, the size of the brisket, and lastly the user can select the date in which they want the brisket to be delivered. All of the briskets come as full-packer briskets.

Snake River Farms’ American Waygu black-grade briskets are a grade higher than USDA prime and American Wagyu gold-grade briskets are considered a notch higher than the black-grade briskets.

The brisket I purchased was the 16-18lb American Wagyu black-grade brisket that I purchased to smoke for my family on Father’s Day.

I was able to have the brisket delivered a few days in advance so that I had time to thaw the brisket out.

How The Brisket Shows Up

The American Wagyu brisket showed up 3-4 hours before I got home and when the brisket showed up to my door it was in a cardboard box. Inside the box were the brisket, dry ice packs, the box was fully lined with insolation, an insulated bag, and an information packet.

Even after sitting outside my house during the summer, the wagyu brisket was still frozen. Since the brisket is still fully frozen, it will need to thaw for 4 days before trying to smoke it.

I have ordered other meats from Snake River Farms as well and have never had a problem with meat showing up thawed.

American Wagyu Brisket First Impressions

At first glance, this brisket was the best-looking brisket I have seen in person. The wagyu had a beautiful fat cap and even though the point was mostly hidden until trimmed, I could see the flat was thick and had lots of lines of marbling running through it.

After doing some trimming, I could see the point of the brisket had an insane marbling that can’t be found in lower-grade briskets. A brisket with this much internal marbling is going to be absolutely mouthwatering once it is cooked.

How I Chose To Cook The Brisket

For such a glorious cut of meat, there wasn’t any other way to cook this American Wagyu brisket besides smoking it. What I used to smoke the brisket was my dad’s “Green Machine”, which is a style of offset smoker that we use.

How The Brisket Turned Out

The Snake River Farms wagyu brisket smoked for a full 16 hours and rested for an hour before slicing into.

Once the brisket was fully smoked at 205 degrees internal it has a gorgeous dark bark that was packed full of flavor from the dry rub.

When slicing into the brisket tons of juices were running out of it. Don’t worry even with juices oozing out of the brisket, every bite was still extremely juicy and by far the best-tasting brisket I have cooked on a smoker.

Everyone that got to enjoy the wagyu brisket for Father’s Day had nothing but great things to say about how well the meat turned out.

Even though the brisket had an expensive price tag attached, it is worth buying again in the future. More than likely I will be purchasing it for other family events or special occasions.

I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try out Snake River Farms American Wagyu brisket as it will be the highest quality brisket that can be smoked.
