Naturally, these armor sets are designed for different play styles, some complimenting stealth tactics and others bolstering the tanking approach. Some are "mythical," having been created by the Isu and worn by the gods, while others are inspired by previous Assassin's Creed games and history. Specific for Valhalla, the sets in the game align to one of three classes: the raven, the bear, or the wolf, which demonstrate the play style best suited to the armor or weapons.

10 The Mentor's Armor Set Is Great For All-Round Play Styles

The Mentor's Armor set is similar to previous iterations of the "assassin look," closely resembling Ezio Auditore's aesthetic from AC: Revelations. Not only does this set look the part, but it's a fantastic choice for melee play styles. The Mentor's Armor works best with dual wields and weapons with a high critical chance. It also works well with stealth players as it's aligned with the Raven skill tree.

The Hidden Ones' Armor set is ideal for players who enjoyed the stealth mechanics from the earlier Assassin's Creed games. The suit was first used by the original Egyptian Hidden Ones, but eventually found its way over to Europe after being used by assassins across the ages. With a sleek design, the armor was made for high-ranking Assassins, and like the Mentor Armor, it's reminiscent of Ezio's outfit in AC: Revelations.

8 Egyptian Armor Harks Back To Assassin's Creed: Origins

Part of the Wrath of the Druids DLC, the armor set originates from Egypt and was forged by the people of Al-Qata'i before Eivor brings it back with her from her time in Dublin. Like many of the armor sets in Valhalla, the Egyptian set is reminiscent of Bayek of Siwa's outfit in AC: Origins. Players will likely want to stick to this if they prefer fighting out in the open, since the armor makes players more efficient in the day.

7 The Paladin Armor Set Best Suits Tank Players

The Paladin Armor set is available in The Siege of Paris DLC, and can be found in chests scattered through Francia. As the name suggests, the set is best suited for tank-style players who prefer being an immovable wall rather than a stealthy assassin. The set certainly possesses one of the more interesting aesthetics, since it has the typical style of a Frankish soldier's helmet, with Eivor's usual red sash around the middle.

The Thegn's Armor set encourages players to be offensive, and in a Souls-esque manner also encourages players to parry attacks rather than dodge. As the name suggests, the Thegn's Armor is reminiscent of a king's armor, with a crown-like helm and an embroidered tunic. While the set is mid-tier, it remains one of the best sets in Assassin's Creed Valhalla for offensive players. The boost it offers to players' opportunity for critical hits and the boost to critical damage are too good for most players to pass up.

For aggressive players, the Rus armor is a solid choice, considering it has excellent attack traits.

The Iberian Armor is one of the best armor sets in the game and one of the easiest to acquire. The armor set is available for purchase at level one in the Wrath of the Druids DLC. Like many of the sets offered by the DLC, the Iberian Armor is exotic looking, having originated from the Iberian Peninsula in southwestern Europe, forged by the Emirate of Córdoba. Players who are great at dodging while find themselves in easier situations, as they'll be able to boost their attack to deal greater damage by avoiding their opponents.
